UK QUALIFIERS TO TAKE PLACE IN LONDON ON 5^TH & 6^TH OF JULY

14 years is a long time. That’s 78 in dog years. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but that’s bull. Shop Riot 2024 is back and Vans are teaching that old boy some new tricks.

The original concept by Vans celebrates Europe’s finest skate shops, offering the core skate scene and shop riders from all over Europe an authentic platform to represent all communities.

A vital component of the Vans Shop Riot format is the regional qualifiers. The UK qualifier will take place on July 5^th & 6th at Royal Oak Skatepark and BAYSIXTY6. 15 shops will be competing to make it to the grand finals on Skate Shop Day 2025. 

One of the biggest updates to the competition for 2024 is the judging criteria, with two areas of competition – Team Contest and Team Challenges. Another important addition is the 4 -people team which now needs to have gender diversity. Judged on things like performance, creativity, and team execution the winner will walk away with up to €3800 and a spot in the Vans Shop Riot Finals 2025. Prepare for challenges such as ‘Double Trouble’, ‘Waffle Eating Contest’ and many more surprises during a packed weekend.

Vans will be kicking things off from 4pm on Friday at Royal Oak Skatepark and Saturday prepare for a full day of skateboarding at BAYSIXTY6 Skatepark from 11am. Everyone is welcome!
